Just a quick note...
Hello again! Hope you are enjoying some beautiful late spring weather
like we have been here in Nebraska! I'm going to keep this short this
time...hubby Don and I are hopping on a plane tomorrow to visit family
in Hawaii for a couple of weeks. And...I'm going to test out my new
knee - pretty exciting! A reminder that the gallery will be closed from
May 31st through June 19th while we are away.
May has been a busy month. I've been painting some commissioned pieces
and new paintings for exhibitions. Two paintings I can share with you
now are the one above, "March Rain, Times Square" and the one below,
"Da Boyz." The Times Square piece was painted in the studio from
reference photos I took a few years ago on a very chilly, drizzly March
day in New York. It will be included in the American Impressionist
Society's 24th Annual National Juried Exhibition, which will be held in
August in Greenville, Delaware. Click on the image for more information.

"Da Boyz" 5x7 oil on linen panel
"Da Boyz" will be included in the Small Works Auction at the Door
County Plein Air Festival in July. I painted these bulls once before in
a different format and decided to try them again in a small 5x7 size.
