Thinking Warm Thoughts...and Spring!
Hi again and a warm welcome to all my new subscribers! I hope this finds you and your loved ones safe and doing well. Last time I wrote, we were in the grips of subzero weather and have since had a couple more good snowstorms here in eastern Nebraska. The snow is almost gone today though and temps in the 50's, so spring is just around the corner!
Thoughts of spring inspired the painting above, my first of 2021 finally. I took a break from painting for the last couple of months to recharge, study, work on new ideas and get some organizing done (including our taxes...earliest ever!). Sometimes taking a break and clearing one's head is really good for the creative spirit. The excitement I felt filling my palette with fresh paint last week confirmed the break was the right thing to do. So watch out for a flurry of new paintings coming soon...I'm feeling truly inspired!
